Human Resource Policy
While Several
Corporates are opening their doors for employment opportunities to the white
collar section of Society,
‘EE’
provides employment to the lower rungs of society asking for no prior
qualification nor experience and only a willingness to learn and work
progressively.
Women comprise
approximately 40% of the workforce. They are fair & equal opportunity for employment
and progress thus
freeing them from the shackles of poverty & suppression, debt, not to mention drunken
husbands. They acquire a sense of pride in their job and in being
self-sufficient and a support to their children and aged members of the family.
We organize in
house induction programs to familiarize new entrants with the work culture &
ethic of
‘EE’ and
thereafter they are continuously exposed to various training programs, conducted
periodically, to develop their skills and latent talent.
Most of the
staff, being drawn from rural areas, are initially put through a course in the
basics of spoken English to enable them to converse with cosmopolitan clientele.
It may be
re-emphasized that religion / caste and creed play no part in the cross culture
workforce of
‘EE’.
Committed youth are
given opportunity for employment, progress & overseas prospects. The Company has
a Joint Venture with one of the leading mercantile & offshore supply company in
the Middle East Region.
‘EE’ adheres
strictly to all statutory compliances giving the employees the benefits of
Minimum Wages + Provident Fund + ESI, etc. Apart from these statutory benefits,
the staff from the rural areas are provided with subsidized accommodation and
food at locations near project sites.
The Company is covered under The
Contract Labour (Regulations & Abolition) Act 1970 and adheres to the same where
ever applicable.
The
annual appraisal methods formulated by the Company ensure that each employee
receives his / her recognition & rewards. Inter-site awards are
